Tony Coronado got his General Contractor’s license in California in 1966. He has built custom homes, churches, commercial buildings such as Boot Barn, Phil and Jim’s Hardware, and National Lumber, restaurants such as Olive Gardens, Mrs. Knotts, Burger Kings, Kentucky Fried Chicken, & Del Tacos.
He also specialized in concrete and framing, doing hundreds of framed buildings, foundations, block walls, flatwork, sidewalks, etc.
Tony and wife Eileen, moved to Deer Park, WA in 2006 and also got his contractor's license there, building homes, barns and pole barns, block foundations and basements.
In 2009 they moved back to CA during the recession. That was scary, there was literally no construction going on anywhere in Southern CA. Most of the general contractors that he subcontracted from were gone.
A friend bought a horse shelter kit from Equine Shelters in Paso Robles, but they did not erect them. They asked her if she knew of any contractors that could erect it for her and she mentioned Tony to them. Shirley and Jim who owned Equine Shelters asked Tony if he would install their shelters in SoCal for them. He did and due to the demand for horse barns, he started building and designing barns and shelters for people. He built barns all over Southern California. Some of his most notable clients were Stephen Peters, one of the country’s top international dressage competitors, in San Diego, Liz Bolton Stables in San Marcos, and many happy horse women and men.
In 2019, Tony and Eileen moved to Snowflake, Arizona. Tony again got his contractor's license in the state of AZ. He loves to build barns and shelters, and a new necessity for those that live out rural, car corrals to keep rodents from eating the vehicles wiring, RV covers, and hay and equipment covers.
Tony does his own welding and his own Tongue and Groove siding. He can design and build whatever a person has in mind. Being a horseman himself, he has that insight as to what horses and livestock need in comfortable healthy living. He also welds pipe corrals and round pens.
